Complete Genomics, Inc. ("CGI") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes
how CGI protects the privacy and security of all information that we obtain from users of our Web Site,
including personally identifiable information requested to respond to user inquiries submitted through
the Contact Us section of the Web Site.
This Privacy Policy applies only to the use and collection of data obtained by CGI through this Web
Site and does not apply to any other data collected by CGI either online or offline. As a general rule,
you may remain anonymous while visiting the CGI Web Site and viewing its content by not providing any
personal information. By using the Web Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and, if you
provide CGI with your personal information, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure as
described herein in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not provide
CGI any information.

CGI understands that storing obtained data in a secure manner is essential to our business. CGI uses a
variety of security measures to maintain the safety and confidentiality of personal information. CGI
stores obtained user data using industry standard physical, technical and administrative safeguards to
secure data against foreseeable risks, such as unauthorized use, access, disclosure, destruction and
modification.
All user registration information is contained behind a firewall and only accessible by a limited number
of employees who have special access rights to our production systems. Confidential personal information
sent to us is encrypted in our secure database. The database is further protected behind a firewall.

each visit to the Web Site. CGI may use such information to generate reports which will allow CGI to
determine how it can enhance use of the Web Site and to review user trends. This information will not be
used to determine the content of what you are viewing or to ascertain your identity.
Except as described in this Privacy Policy, CGI does not provide personal information about you collected
on the CGI Web Site to any third party without your express permission.

GINA and HIPAA Compliance
The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008 (“GINA”) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability
Act of 1996 ("HIPAA"), as amended in 2008, establish new standards for privacy and security of genetic information. CGI
is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all genetic information in a manner that is consistent with
customers’ legal rights and provider obligations under both GINA and HIPAA.
Notification of Changes
This Privacy Policy may be revised from time to time as we add new features and services, as laws change, and as privacy
and security practices evolve. Notice will be provided on the Web Site of any major changes CGI makes to this Privacy
Policy regarding use or disclosure of personally identifiable information. Small changes and changes that do not
significantly affect individual privacy interests may be made at any time without notification.
